Princess Mononoke's Spearhead

So here is a mini sharing of how I made Princess Mononoke's spearhead / knife thingy that she is holding:


It's a really budget one because weeeellll I was lazy to get out of the house to buy additional materials so I made do with whatever I had hahaha

Materials:
 - Cardboard
 - Plain A4 printing Paper
 - A shiny paper with a colour that looks like steel haha
 - Masking Tape
 - Uhu Glue (ok this is for paper-material so Uhu glue is fine haha..)
 - red ribbon
 - Cutting thingies (penknife, scissors, ruler, cutting board etc)


So I made the handle of the spear by rolling an A4 Paper to the width of a bamboo pole. This is so that if I'd love to use a spear, I can just attach the spearhead onto the pole. If not, I can just remove it and hold it as a knife too!
Oh, notice that the cardboard was is cut that way? It is so that the bottom is not left open and hollow, and also to help hold the handle in place.
I used the red ribbon to decorate the handle and the white steel-ish paper to make the spear realistic hahahaa... so end product is:


yeah! It is quite simple hahahaha and it actually lasted all the way to today, still in shape even though i made this December last year.

Foam and UHU glue = NOOOO

So, I thought of sharing a disaster I did months ago.
Never never NEVER use UHU glue on foam because -



IT EATS YOUR FOOOAAM.
Yep, so don't use UHU glue. In fact, I gave up on UHU Glue entirely and depend on glue gun now, although it is messy haha..

So, inevitably, life leads to this day where I will step into university and make the life choice of picking a course that would put me in the career till I get old... and I seriously do not know what I want to do.
Well, I have been accepted into the university of my choice, National University of Singapore (NUS). I seriously wonder how I got into this esteemed university with my crappy results hahaha... In fact, my results were below the 90th percentile for the previous intake. I guess my internship in PA really helped in getting a place here haha.. I felt bad for Xiyin tho, she was the one who was resolved to work hard to get into NUS but in the end she didn't get in... I hope she is doing well. ><
That aside, I got accepted into NUS FASS. It was a tough decision. I am a science student but then I do not see myself being in a laboratory doing research; but at the same time, I don't see myself being a performer, a dancer, a celebrity. So engineering, or social works.... my father advised me not to do engineering for some reason so in the end I took Arts and Social Science. Which was close to my internship experience hahaha.. apparently most Sociology and Political Science graduates end up in PA....
.. But that's not the end of my troubles. In fact, my troubles start here. What course do I major/minor in?? For NUS FASS, the first year is for freshmen to take and experience different courses from the faculty before deciding what course that they want to major in. I thought of majoring in Sociology but after talking to my auntie, I had second thoughts. How about Minor? I want to take a minor so that if my Major could not get me a job, at least I have a minor to save my add or to add to my major since most FASS are intertwined. And do I follow my head or heart? Should I take advice from people, read up career prospects or should I just follow my interest and take whatever I am interested in...??
Its so frustrating omg.

I wished there was someone that could make decisions for me but then again it's my life so I have to make my own decisions and decide my own future.

I wished I had a Makoto who cares so well for me though.

Well, I'll just take the exposure modules and see how they go ~~
